Your local friendly home pet sitter in Fleet, Emma Seaney
My name is Emma Seaney and I am a qualified veterinary nurse and pet sitter based in Fleet. I have over 15 years experience working in the pet care industry and a lifetime of loving animals. Even growing up my family had many pets including: cats, budgies, hamsters, rats, and a beloved dog called Sparky.
I studied veterinary nursing at Medivet Training College and MYF Training Centre in Aldershot and I gained my full qualification in 2008. I started my training and gained valuable experience, knowledge and additional skills working at a popular veterinary practice Medivet, based in Kingston for 4 years. I then moved to Fleet in Hampshire where I worked at Fleets local vets; Ark Veterinary Practice for a further 7 years. My passion for animals and their welfare has been a huge part of my life and in 2007 I decided to start my own pet sitting company called Emma’s Pet Care.
The primary reason I started pet sitting is because I strongly believe that having someone to take care of your pets in the comfort of their own home and surroundings, eliminates the stress your pets experience whilst you are away on holiday. Keeping your pets in their own home means they can carry on with their daily routine without the upheaval of taking them to a cattery, kennels or alike. This would typically involve putting them in the dreaded pet carrier and then traveling by car and then leaving them in an enclosure with unusual smells and surroundings.
It’s often common for pets to be left in the care of a trusted neighbour or friend, however, having a qualified veterinary nurse gives you the added peace of mind in the event illness. My goal is to deliver a service to the local community that provides the best care for your animal whilst you are away at an affordable price. Over the years my company has grown to having over 100 happy clients local to Fleet.
“When my Cat was diagnosed with kidney failure and I was told by the vets that he would need regular medication, I was worried about giving him the tablets, as I had never had to do anything like that before. Emma worked with me to build up my confidence when giving him the tablets. We tried a few different methods to find what was best for Teddy, and now it just fits into our daily routine, thanks to Emma’s Professional help.”
